crunch under the boots<\/span><\/p>\n

perfect jumps to get them right under the sole,<\/span><\/p>\n

for that satisfying crunch<\/span><\/p>\n

sweaters in the morning that transform<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0into tees by mid-day<\/span><\/p>\n

silent classrooms of students taking exams<\/span><\/p>\n

papers flipping, pencil scratches being made,<\/span><\/p>\n

teachers walking down the aisles,<\/span><\/p>\n

the tension could be cut with a knife<\/span><\/p>\n

waiting for the time to finish, and also to keep on going,<\/span><\/p>\n

for that one problem that seems unsolvable<\/span><\/p>\n

but is on the brink of the mind,<\/span><\/p>\n

almost teetering on the exit\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

perhaps it will drip into the paper<\/span><\/p>\n

perhaps not, either way<\/span><\/p>\n

exams are forgotten as soon as they are handed in<\/span><\/p>\n

can\u2019t even remember a question a friend is asking about<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0in the midst of\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

going home and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

apple cider and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

donuts and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

hayrides,<\/span><\/p>\n

nothing matters when you\u2019re happy and the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

feeling of autumn<\/span><\/p>\n
