What gets you most into the holiday spirit?\u00c2\u00a0 Do you enjoy decorating your home with lights and small ornaments or are you more of the person who simply enjoys the company of friends and family for dinners and festive evenings?\u00c2\u00a0 I enjoy both of these holiday events, but what really gets me into the holiday season is nothing other than Christmas music!<\/p>\n
There is something about Christmas music\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cheery tone that I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t escape.\u00c2\u00a0 No matter how wishful or clich\u00c3\u00a9 they may be, I merrily sing along to all.\u00c2\u00a0 In high school, my sister and I would blare Maria Carey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s All I Want for Christmas is You, every morning and evening on our way to and from school and any other time we got in the car and felt the impulse to listen to it, which happened frequently during the month of December.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe it is those fond memories that leave a weak spot in my heart for Christmas music.<\/p>\n
I was in one of my classes recently and I heard someone say they absolutely hated Christmas music.\u00c2\u00a0 I was appalled!\u00c2\u00a0 It was similar to the way Tinkerbelle felt whenever she heard someone say they didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe in fairies.\u00c2\u00a0 Ok, maybe that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an extreme comparison, but that is what it felt like.<\/p>\n
You can bet that I get through finals with the help of my trusted musically talented professionals serenading me in the background.\u00c2\u00a0 I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know where I would be without them.\u00c2\u00a0 I could listen to the entire album of the Nutcracker on repeat for hours.\u00c2\u00a0 I even listen to it when it is not the holiday season.\u00c2\u00a0 This is telling of how obsessed I am.<\/p>\n
My favorites beside All I Want for Christmas is You and the Nutcracker are Dean Martin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s White Christmas, Linus and Lucy, Charlie Brown, and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.<\/p>\n
