THE WOLFMAN BUSKER<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>The theater lights blend to\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

stars, blend to the curling<\/span><\/p>\n

bumble of a lightning bug\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

bent on illuminating the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

small cracks and drainage<\/span><\/p>\n

covers worn by the street.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here, the grass is missing,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

though a nature of sorts-<\/span><\/p>\n

that of exhaust pipes and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

busy tidings- remains. A<\/span><\/p>\n

wolfman howls, plucking\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

a pizzicato confession of<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

loneliness, the tune sings<\/span><\/p>\n

the somber spring of March.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though still, the wolfman<\/span><\/p>\n

bears a flannel husk, bears<\/span><\/p>\n

a thousand hours through<\/span><\/p>\n

the chilled night while few<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

pauses are granted by the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

occupied binoculars of each<\/span><\/p>\n

passerby. Study their faces.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice the curled lip and\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

premature wrinkle formed\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

upon the brow, as if to say<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>I have thought too hard<\/span><\/p>\n

and too long on the dark<\/span><\/p>\n

winter, though I find the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

solace of surprise in tides<\/span><\/p>\n

of spring.<\/span> These happenings<\/span><\/p>\n

oscillate, from cold to warm,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

drawing an ample fog of<\/span><\/p>\n

condensation upon the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

windows of our mind, the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

eyes, the mirror neurons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What might the wolfman find,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
