writing little blurbs\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in chicken scratch\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

on the back,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

reminding me of loved\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ones, where my weary\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

legs traveled, of sunsets\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

that sank and sank<\/span><\/p>\n

again.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eric, cigarette plus shades<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Brynna, wetsuit off the South Shore<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Dad, beneath the skateboard rack<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Prospect beach stretch, empty\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Forget me nots<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I can almost hear\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

laughter, the lull\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

of a quiet shore<\/span><\/p>\n

after the sun has\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

shattered through<\/span><\/p>\n

the world\u2019s floor<\/span><\/p>\n

and sunk beneath\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Superior to a\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
