I was completing my early rounds yesterday morning as was customary.\u00a0 There is much preparation to be done before the members of the court awaken.\u00a0 I was tasked with disposing the waste.\u00a0 I went outside and thought I saw somebody, so I went to investigate.\u00a0 I know it was improper of me, but curiosity has always gotten the best of me.\u00a0 I suppose I should have known it would bring me to trouble eventimes.\u00a0 So I had already disposed of the trash as I had to, and I went around the corner where I had thought I had seen the figure and saw nothing.\u00a0 I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks on me when I walked a little ways down the alley and saw something for real this time.\u00a0 There was something unusually dark on the ground, and I figured it was not water because of the cold.\u00a0 Or perhaps it was freshly spilled, I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Whatever my reasoning was, I went to look and saw\u2026him.\u00a0 You know.\u00a0 And I screamed.\u00a0 What else was I to do?\u00a0 He was lying there and\u2026I never thought I would find\u2026I had no idea what to do.\u00a0 I ran back screaming for help, and that\u2019s when one of the guards rushed up to me.\u00a0 But I was too terrified to form words.\u00a0 You don\u2019t believe me, do you?\u00a0 You think I was\u2026.\u00a0 I would never.\u00a0 Never.\u00a0 And now multiple servants were swarming me and I had to get them to follow so they could see.\u00a0 But when I got there another guard had already found him.\u00a0 And they didn\u2019t believe me until I was searched and Solkha\u2014you know Solkha, he was in charge\u2014told them I had been with him.\u00a0 And I had been asleep before then and could not have left.\u00a0 Somehow they didn\u2019t fully believe me.\u00a0 And here I am, still not believed, and now people think I\u2019m a killer.\u00a0 Like I would ever have any reason.\u00a0 I have a job and lodgings.\u00a0 Why would I risk all that?\u00a0 He is an advisor.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know of the advisors.\u00a0 I mean, I know of some of them, but my work is not about them.\u00a0 I am low level, you see.\u00a0 Only been here five years.\u00a0 Low level and needing to keep my job.\u00a0 So no, I did not notice anything before that, have no idea how others thought of him, anything.\u00a0 I am a maid, after all.\u00a0 Well.\u00a0 I know you won\u2019t believe me, but that is all I have to say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
