that won’t come<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

because the ball will drop at midnight<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

shining in a million colors<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

levitating like a God<\/span><\/p>\n

among men<\/span><\/p>\n

the crowd stretches\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

blocks away<\/span><\/p>\n

counting down<\/span><\/p>\n

destruction in ten<\/span><\/p>\n

shattering<\/span><\/p>\n

fracturing<\/span><\/p>\n

an explosion<\/span><\/p>\n

ringing ears<\/span><\/p>\n

ring in the new year<\/span><\/p>\n

new excitement<\/span><\/p>\n

five minutes until midnight<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

and I’m starting to question<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

the expense, an effort done<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

just to destroy the ball<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

why ring in the new year<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

with violence<\/span><\/p>\n

one minute<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

thirty <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

fifteen <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

ten<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

nine<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

eight<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

seven<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

six<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/p>\n

four<\/span>
