It is cold, it is warm, I wish I could stay<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being at peace smells like<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sundae cherries, dirt, and soap<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, waiting here among thoughts of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Empty chairs and amethyst stones and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bread I baked last Saturday, long ago<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Never tasting quite as sweet as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve heard others say<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I\u2019m happy they enjoy it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s been a while since the snow<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a fog covering the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lights of the apartment buildings<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Floating like makeshift stars in the rain<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And there is a warmth in the white fairy lights<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the band playing in the market<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the folks that shuffle close together<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In and out of Main Street<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a song tonight<\/p>\n\n\n\n
