From the field of mulch and needles<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flowers seem to glow<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Icicles sprouting up to<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The gray that comes and goes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patch of frost encircled by deep blue<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still here in the cold<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I miss when I could see the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moon like a hole punched in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purple-paper skies <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it doesn\u2019t feel bad to wait<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because as the night goes on<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stars peer through like<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Roots splitting through stone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the flowers are still here<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daffodils and crocuses and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My realization I need to learn more<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About the blooms I still pass by<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because one day we\u2019re going to have a spring<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And it is going to stick<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But for now, I\u2019ll just wait for<\/p>\n\n\n\n
