Santa Claus, and his journey of becoming Santa. \u00a0A book was written in 2008 to accompany the song and movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Frosty the snowman<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8719\" src=\"http:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/frosty-300x156.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/frosty-300x156.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/frosty.jpeg 311w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The song \u201cFrosty The Snowman\u201d was written in 1950 by Walter E Rollins. \u00a0The first movie adaptation was a 2D animation created in 1969. \u00a0Many more movies have been created after this showing Frosty\u2019s life and featuring the song. \u00a0There have also been countless books that depict his life as it is laid out in the song.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Little drummer boy<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8718\" src=\"http:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/little-drummer-boy.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"245\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The song \u201cLittle Drummer Boy\u201d was written in 1941 by Harry Simeone, Katherine Kennicott Davis, and Henry Onorati. \u00a0The claymation movie were released in 1968. \u00a0Ezra Jack Keats wrote the book adaptation in the same year,1968.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Year Without a Santa Claus<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8715\" src=\"http:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/heat-miser-v.-snow-miser.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"172\" height=\"114\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The classic songs \u201cHeat Miser\u201d and \u201cSnow Miser\u201d were in the claymation movie \u201cThe Year Without A Santa Claus\u201d. \u00a0The movie was created in 1974. \u00a0Unlike the other classic Holiday songs on this list, the songs were written for the movie and become classics and popular through the movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Grandma Got run over by a reindeer<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8717\" src=\"http:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/gma-got-runover-by-a-reindeer.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"268\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The song \u201cGrandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer\u201d was written in 1979 by Randy Brooks. \u00a0The animated movie adaptation was created in 2000. \u00a0This newer movie has quickly become a classic for people under 30, with the movie appearing on Cartoon Network frequently over the Holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Jingle Bells<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8716\" src=\"http:\/\/artsatmichigan.umich.edu\/ink\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/jingle-bells.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"268\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The song \u201cJingle Bells\u201d was written in 1857 by James Pierpont(not the man Pierpont Commons in named after). \u00a0The song was originally called \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One Horse Open Sleigh\u201d. \u00a0There have been many movie adaptations of this song, and many other movies have used the song to add a Holiday feeling to them. \u00a0\u201cJingle Bells\u201d was the first song to be broadcast from outer space. \u00a0The two astronauts sang the song to mission
