Established in 1964, U-M MSA is one of the oldest MSA chapters in the country and has developed into one of the most active and vibrant student organizations on campus. Since then, the MSA has undergone tremendous growth and progress as its members continuously strive to be the Leaders and Best in strengthening faith, knowledge, and community. We invite you to join us in building on the thrilling and unique Michigan Muslim experience, as well as in promoting the spirit of diversity and dialogue of the Michigan and Ann Arbor community. Diffused Congruence: Live Taping

Diffused Congruence is one of the most popular, robust podcasts on the American Muslim experience. In March, the hosts, Parvez Ahmed (a UM alum!) and Zaki Hassan, brought the show to Michigan for a live taping! The show consisted of interviews with University students, Dr. Su'ad Abdul Khabeer–a renowned scholar on Islam and hip hop, and other local Muslim artists and leaders to build out a holistic, creative picture of what it means to be a Michigan Muslim.

Haji Noor Deen Mi Guang Jiang Workshop

The Muslim Student's Association, in collaboration with the Arabic Club, hosted a calligraphy workshop with Haji Noor Deen Mi Guang Jiang, a renowned master of Arabic calligraphy. Born in 1963 in Shangdong province, China, he possesses an immense learning in traditional thought and Islamic art which he brought to a modern audience, juxtaposing both Eastern and Western calligraphic styles. The workshop included interactive exercises with attendees.
