South Asian Students Association aims to increase awareness and educate the University of Michigan Dearborn community about South Asian cultures and heritages of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka and bring unity among them.The purpose of this group is to celebrate similarities, as well as embrace the uniqueness of the various cultures. By hosting lively cultural events, service opportunities, and educational presentations, SASA will promote and attempt to keep South Asian culture alive amongst a multicultural university.All activities and functions of the organization will be legal under University, local, state, and federal laws.
