Crochet for Causes

About

Crochet for Causes is a student-run organization at the University of Michigan dedicated to connecting students with the local community through volunteer work and art. We teach students how to crochet and use their handmade creations to support local charities, either through donations or by selling the items to raise funds. Students of all Skill levels are welcome and beginners are encouraged to attend meetings and learn about the art of crochet from experienced members! All members will have yarn and hooks provided at group crochet meetings and will have the opportunity to take projects home to complete. Students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of projects through out the year including NICU Blankets, Chemo Caps, or any personal project that they feel passionate about. Projects can be donated to local hospitals or national non-profits and the club will hold a sale where any personal projects made by students will be sold with all profits going to a local charity of the clubs choice!
