SPIC MACAY, or the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth started as an initiative to retain the diverse Indian art forms and has grown immensely since its establishment in1972. SPIC MACAY organizes events such as movie screenings and stage performances for instrumental and vocal music, Indian dance forms etc. Artists of eminence such as Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Sonal Mansingh, Ustad Zakir Hussain among others have been associated with SPIC MACAY.
