Campus Orchestra Board (COB)

About

The Campus Orchestra Board works to improve the quality and depth of experience for non-music major student musicians in the Campus Orchestras. We achieve this by facilitating community building activities, working with the Music School staff to ensure student opinions are represented in orchestra decision making, and managing recruitment and marketing activities for the orchestra.

Campus Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras Spring Concert

April 11th 2017
University of Michigan Campus Orchestras

The Campus Symphony Orchestra and Campus Philharmonia Orchestra, which are comprised primarily of non-music majors, hold a free joint concert each semester at the Hill Auditorium. This event not only exhibits the achievements of student musicians and conductors, but also aims to promote classical music to students and the public. In sharing their musical expertise with fellow orchestra members and the greater student body through the concert performance, Campus Orchestra musicians promote teamwork, communication, and the usage of diverse skills as important aspects of creative expression as well as daily life.
