The Javanese Gamelan Student Group provides a relaxed, welcoming environment for University of Michigan students to learn and practice Javanese gamelan music. The group puts an emphasis on the interests of the students so that group members guide the focus of the group, be that on traditional styles, contemporary interpretations, composition, or other facets of Javanese gamelan music.
