WCBN Sports is the student-run radio station at University of Michigan. We provide live commentary of Michigan athletics, including football, basketball, softball, hockey, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, and water polo. Additionally, our broadcasters produce a half-hour sports talk show that airs on 88.3 FM on Mondays-Thursdays. Our listeners can be found across Washtenaw County, the state of Michigan, the United States and the World. In 2021, WCBN Sports had a total of 133 broadcasts across 11 different Michigan teams. The station covered teams from 46 universities, across 17 athletic conferences. The station covers a variety of sports, particularly those that do not receive much coverage from professional media organizations. For many events (particularly soccer, field hockey, water polo, baseball, and softball), our commentary is the only live coverage available for free to the public.
