Workshops throughout the semester
April 10th 2024
Tiffany Xu, MDraw Art Club
Our proposed project entailed hosting engaging and inclusive art activities through MDraw, a club that conducts weekly workshops and meetings with varied focuses. After taking account of feedback from our members, we added some new activities along with continuing our popular events. Specifically, we seek funding for a beaded flower making activity, a linocut/stamp making event, and for funding to restock our normal free-drawing events.

As a club, Mdraw mostly holds weekly workshops and meetings with different focuses every week. Our funding went to a few events, including 3 Bob Ross paint-alongs and a few craft events. Our events include instructions and all art supplies for the members to make the art as accessible as possible for everyone.

MDraw
MDraw is the first visual arts club to be established at the University of Michigan and exposes its members to a wide variety of resources for observing and creating art. This project in particular aims to provide digital art supplies to members who are just becoming familiar with the medium, enabling them to embrace a new creative outlet and obtain new skills.
Art After Dark

MDraw is a large student org for students to gather and share their artwork and love for drawing. Their inaugural event, Art After Dark, was a way for MDraw to showcase the different skill sets within the member base as well as to have a different environment for members to work in. The event occurred on the Diag where students draw art on the Diag squares showcasing University of Michigan values as well as personal values
