Mdraw

About

As the first visual arts club established at the University of Michigan, we are dedicated to providing a space, art supplies, and a community for students to pursue their artistic hobbies outside of academic commitments. MDraw is a casual club with no required attendance policies and no dues in order to foster a stress-free and inviting environment. Art supplies ranging from acrylic paint to brush pens to colored pencils are supplied free of charge through campus funding. Workshops are also held to help members expand their art skills, including events like Bob Ross painting nights and calligraphy tutorials. We welcome individuals from all skills levels and backgrounds to stop by our meetings every Wednesday, 8-10pm in Mason Hall COVID UPDATE: We meet on Tuesday, 8-10pm, on Discord. Workshops throughout the semester

April 10th 2024
Tiffany Xu, MDraw Art Club

Our proposed project entailed hosting engaging and inclusive art activities through MDraw, a club that conducts weekly workshops and meetings with varied focuses. After taking account of feedback from our members, we added some new activities along with continuing our popular events. Specifically, we seek funding for a beaded flower making activity, a linocut/stamp making event, and for funding to restock our normal free-drawing events.

Our events include instructions and all art supplies for the members to make the art as accessible as possible for everyone.

The event occurred on the Diag where students draw art on the Diag squares showcasing University of Michigan values as well as personal values
