Room Reservation Guide

Welcome to the Room Reservations guide! This page is designed as a centralized resource for student organizations to find reservable spaces around campus, as well as explore alternative space options off-campus. For many rooms on campus, there are requirements & limitations for student organizations read through those here. You can also expedite the room reservation process by signing up for an EMS account here.

  • The Idea Hub is a series of meeting areas in the Michigan Union, exclusive to student organizations. The Idea Hub includes meeting rooms, movement studios, and creation studios. Each has different capacities. An authorized signer must make a reservation through the org’s EMS account.
  • East Quadrangle is located at 701 E University Ave, Ann Arbor, and houses several classrooms in its basement, as well as the Keene Theater. Classrooms have easily move-able desks that can be used for dance and vocal rehearsals. Projectors are in most classrooms. Rules & requirements can be found here. Fill out this google form to reserve a classroom and allow three business days for a response.
The Student Theatre Arts Complex (STAC)
  • The STAC is located at 1202 Kipke Dr, in the south end of the Facilities Services Building "B" across from the Michigan football stadium. It has three mirrored rehearsal rooms, a scenic shop, and a costume shop. Email Mark Haviland to reserve the space: markhav@umich.edu.
SMTD Room Reservations
  • AISMUT is used by the SMTD department to reserve rooms in the Dance Building, Walgreen Drama Center, and some Earl V. Moore rooms. You must have an SMTD student reserve the space and only 10 hours are allotted to each SMTD student. Use this link to reserve a room.
  • The Earl V. Moore Building is located at 1100 Baits Dr, Ann Arbor, and houses classrooms and recital halls mainly for SMTD students. Classrooms have easily move-able desks that can be used for dance and vocal rehearsals. Projectors and pianos are in most classrooms. Rules & Requirements can be found here. CCI Spreadsheet
  • The Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) has created a spreadsheet of several rooms/locations across campus. To see north campus and athletic campus facilities, press the tabs at the bottom. Some of this information is out of date.
Art Exhibition Spaces
NOW Studios
  • NOW Studios is located at 715 N. University Ave, Underground, just to the right of Walgreens on State St. The space is useful for art creation and live music performances. In order to book, fill out the interest form listed on their website.
Sports Coliseum
  • The Sports Coliseum is located at 721 S 5th Ave, Ann Arbor. The space is typically used for club sports, but it is spacious enough for free dance movement. You must submit a facilities request form to reserve this space.
IMSB Multi-Purpose Rooms (Medium & Large)
  • The Intramural Sports Building Multi-Purpose Rooms are two rooms with mirrors and spacious for free dance movement. You must submit a facilities request form to reserve this space.
Major Performance Venues
  • To reserve Lydia Mendelssohn Theater, Arthur Miller Theater, The Power Center, Rackham Auditorium, or hill auditorium you must have an authorized signer make the request. Kerrytown Concert House
  • Kerrytown Concert House is located at 415 N. 4th Ave. Ann Arbor. The space is flexible and can seat 75+ people. This venue is ideal for recitals/music presentations and can be booked through this link.
Necto
  • Necto is a notorious nightclub that is best suited for dance and musical performances. To book the Main and Red rooms fill out this form.
