Yunjun Kila

I’m back guys! And ready to smash more sketchbooks!

I got an iPad over the summer and have been drawing on it. This is the concept for another DnD character, Yunjun Kila. And in the event any of my DnD party members see this, spoilers in the readmore.

Above is an unfinished Yunjun square. Surrounded by the ghosts of the player characters.

Yunjun is a Changeling College of Spirits bard. Which is fancy for saying she can do some ghostly stuff.

I wanted her to look striking and kind of punk, so I made her main colors black and white. I think of her as Korean, so I based her outfit on some Korean traditional clothes. I think I’ll remove her pouches, she’s too bulky with them.

Those little doll doodles are her spirit focus. Originally she had a puppet as a focus but that was a hassle to draw. It’s now a wooden kokeshi doll. I plan to have her keep it in a little cage around her waist.

She’s a character surrounded by little cartoony ghosts. I struggled with the ghost designs for a bit, but I like how I drew the ghosts in the square. Originally she was going to have only the features of one player character (mine) but adding the other player characters was too fun to avoid.
