Peaceful Dark
on the drive home
it’s snowing
gently onto window sills
powdered sugar dusted
a blissful peace among evergreens
a delicate lift in the cold
as you trust
everything is okay
and shall be soon
on this stretch of road
and the next
you are safe
to wake in the morning
to a feeling such as this
