It is time my friends, it is time to support the glory of the Midwest, and the uncanny ability for unique movement and visions to arise out of what outsiders only recognize as barren land. My goal is to help bring to light the many wonderful things that happen here in little Ann Arbor and if you scroll down this page, you will see an opportune variety not afforded by many other places.
Ghostly International, a phenomenal record label started in Ann Arbor by U of M alum, Samuel Valenti IV, will be hosting a belated 10 year anniversary this Monday. Founded in 1999, Ghostly evades definition, instead becoming a community for music lovers and innovators alike, that is redefining the way we think of a record label in the digital age.
Just the right mix of spices, Ghostly 10+1 will include some of the best; Matthew Dear, Mux Mool, as well as Todd Osborne.
You can find music clips on each artists page if you click on their releases or if you want to explore the Ghostly sound more physically, Mux Mool will have a show before the show at the Apple Briarwood Store from 5-6 pm this Monday. You can also check out Ghostly Discovery, an app that is a music explorer, controlled based on your mood and preferences.

The actual show will take place later at the Blind Pig at 9 pm. The first 30-40 students with id can get tickets for $10, otherwise tickets are $12 and can be purchased at Underground Sounds or at the door. This event is a great opportunity not only to hear dynamic music but be a part of a momentous occasion for the label. I urge you to join me and put your hands up for Detroit!
See you at the ghost parade,
Yours truly.
