PREVIEW: Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Concert on the Diag

For the second time in University of Michigan history, LIVE EDM is coming back to… the DIAG!

When: Friday, April 3rd 6 PM – 10 PM

Where: See above

Cost: FREE!

On campus, there is just not enough student talent showcases. Though EDM is very popular, there is even less of a showcase of EDM as a genre. This is why Stamp Nation: United by Music is hosting a FREE outdoor EDM concert. So come and support your fellow students showcasing their talents and enjoy the music! Also, since this is in the weeks before finals, it’s the perfect break from studying.

Dillon Francis is coming to Royal Oak to headline his Money Sucks, Friends Rule Tour and perform music off of his new album of the same name. One of his best albums to date, Dillon keeps you engaged throughout his wonderfully crafted electronic music tracks. You might have heard his collaboration with DJ Snake called “Get Low” that goes “get low when the whistle blow” and proceeds into a hypnotic beat. Get low with Dillon tomorrow night for this not-to-be-missed night out, and excellent mid-week break from studying for finals. Dance your stresses away.

For tickets, visit the AXS website here. Like Dillon on Facebook. Turn up for his Soundcloud. His YouTube channel is also quite the comedic feat and highly recommended on any day where you need a lift.

Flying Lotus is coming to Royal Oak Music Theatre this Thursday, and I don’t know if I’m more excited for them or for The Glitch Mob the night before. If you’re looking for a Thursday night alternative from going to Rick’s or Charley’s or the Ugli, you do not want to miss this show.
