Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool is a documentary currently showing at the Michigan Theater that gives audiences a glimpse of the “man behind the music.” Featuring interviews with Jimmy Cobb, Lee Konitz, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Carlos Santana, The Roots, and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the film also includes archival photos, manuscripts, and some of Miles Davis’s original paintings.
