A Day In Our Lives #12

Hey guys!

This week I wanted to draw what my commute to school normally looks like. I feel like I am always carrying a million things! Art school needs a lot of supplies. I live on central campus and have to commute to north campus to go to school, which means I have to take the bus. It feels awful to have to carry a lot of art supplies or your own artwork for everyone to see. The experience is awful especially when it is an art piece I don’t like or aren’t proud of. Have sympathy for us art kids <3  I hope the start of everyone’s semester is going well! All of my artwork in this blog is done in procreate.

A Day In Our Lives #11

Hey guys!

I’m writing this post new years day! I don’t know about you guys, but I had a crazy year! It was a lot of fun and I did a lot of cool stuff. I’m looking forward to this year and having a great winter semester. I can’t believe it is already 2023! I hope that everyone this year has a great time and we achieve all of our resolutions. Personally, I want to read more books this year. This week I chose to draw cats because cats are my favorite animal. The numbers are Maize and Blue for our school! I liked drawing this because I would really like to get a cat this year. It will have to be after I move out for the summer because there are no pets allowed at the dorms!

See you next week!

A Day In Our Lives #10

Hey guys,
I am currently writing this post on Christmas! There has certainly been a lot of crazy weather this week so far. I drew my mom’s dogs in costumes for the holidays. I draw all of my artwork on this blog with Procreate on the Ipad. I like filling up the canvas with different patterns or little details surrounding the subjects in made-up backgrounds. I am excited to get back to campus for the new semester!

Happy holidays everyone!

TOLAROIDS: Where is snow

So there is no snow in Ann Arbor yet, even though I think this time last year we already had some on the ground. Well, to get into December spirit I pulled some of the photos from last winter in AA but also some old ones from different occasions, because I actually love snow and hope to summon some through this post 🙂

A Day In Our Lives #6

Hey guys!

I’m writing this post just as I get back from Thanksgiving break. I have a lot of things to be thankful for! This is a drawing of what a typical Thanksgiving layout would look like at my house. It is still missing a few items! I was fortunate enough to be able to see most of my family over this break. I was even able to see my long-distance best friend for a few hours. Thanksgiving is a really important time for us college kids to connect with our families that we may have not seen in a while. I hope everyone had a restful break. We are getting ready for finals!! Only a few more weeks left in the semester. Luckily, Christmas break is right around the corner!

See you next week !

A Day In Our Lives #5

Hey guys!

This week I decided to focus on a common winter activity that I know a lot of artists like to do. A lot of my art friends take up crocheting or knitting when it gets cold. This year for my family I am crocheting scarves. I have about twenty-five people on my list to make scarves for. I can make about one daily, so I am on a very strict schedule. I like to sit with my MacBook and just watch TV next to my snowy window. I am excited about the upcoming break.  I like drawing these little windows in the back of the images because I feel like it gives the image more depth.

See you next week!
